Older adults have many talents to offer communities. Nonprofit organizations can utilize these talented individuals to carry out their missions. CLOI inspires people over age 50 to explore their passions, plan their futures, be community leaders, pursue learning, and engage in meaningful service. CLOI also partners with Chicago-area organizations to assess their needs and matches them with experienced adults who are trained in such areas as fund development and volunteer leadership. As a result, organizations enhance their capabilities by adding much-needed talent and skills at a minimal cost.

The CLOI Family:

Re-Designing Your Future

workshop
In small group settings, older adults discover their unique gifts and what gives them a sense of purpose. With that information, they determine how they can use that information to meet personal and professional aspirations and/or support their communities.

Tap Into Experience (TIE)

webinars and training programs
With the help of older adult mentors, non-profits are taught how to maximize the talents of experienced adult volunteers by reviewing their organizational needs, culture, and infrastructure. Through this process, participants learn to create an environment that welcomes and retains talented volunteers who can assist them with their most pressing organizational and community needs.
